Best Hair of the Week
What the?! It’s Miranda Kerr! Even when she’s coming out of the water, she’s still got perfectly coifed tresses – just like they would be on a Victoria’s Secret photoshoot. Just kidding! In case you hadn’t guessed it, yep, it’s a photoshoot. Which means her hair was professionally done, instead of naturally.
Bad Face Hair
Honestly? I hate talking about a person’s facial hair, i.e. beards or mustaches. But when it’s this bad, there’s no avoiding it:
Seriously, Brad? Just because you might like the biker look doesn’t mean that you have to look like a cross- country traveler that hasn’t showered (or shaved) in months. And come on, we know you don’t make $5 a film! I think you can at least afford to go to a decent barber, one that will actually shave all that weird, salt and pepper crap off your face, rather than encourage your weird and truly random whims. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants – Now
I just saw the aforementioned movie, and I thought it would be fun to do a ‘How’s their hair now?’ sequence. Let me know what you think!
Alexis Bledel:
A little passed shoulder- lenghth, nice rich, chocolate color… I’m happy to say Alexis has done well over the years. It’s a nice, simple cut that you can do a lot with: updos, braids, curls, or just keeping it straight, like Alexis does above. Her style is simple: just run a flat iron through your hair.
Blake Lively:
If Gossip Girl has done anyone any good, it’s Blake Lively. The hit show has helped mature the actress, and gave her the strength to rock out the super easy (yet chic) style above. Tease the hair at the crown, then pull back into a ponytail, tying with a rubberband. Leave a small sectin of hair (about a quarter inch) out, right below your ponytail. Wrap it around your ponytail a few times, then pull under the rubberband and you’re good to go!
Amber Tamblyn:
Hmm… not bad.. The color seems to be a little too bright for her, and a few more layers would suit her well, but like I said, not bad.

Much better. Very similar to the styling of Blake’s, but just with the upper half of the hair.

Okay, I understand that it’s for a movie role, but don’t you think she could have just worn a wig? This looks horrible on her, and can you imagine what they’re going to have do for her ‘Bella’ character in Twilight? She’s probably going to have to wear a wig for that!

Thanks for all the comments, everyone! It’s good to see I have loyal readers. After having said that, I’d like to apologize to everyone for the lack of a few pictures. If you’ve been going through Hair by Sami’s archives recently, you might have noticed a few missing pics — that is, it’s just not there. That’s because the people I got the pictures from deleted them. Grr… But no use getting mad about it. I’ll try to go through the archives soon and update all the pictures that have gone missing. Please forgive me if it’s not done soon. I’m trying to add new posts as well, so it’s just going to take a while. Thanks, everyone!

I love the color (red & blonde highlights), the cut, the style – everything about it! This is the cut we all knew she should have from the moment she announced she was to be a mother! This is the perfect haircut for a young, stylish mother like Ms. Berry! It’s easy to style, maintain, and, best of all, it’s pretty easy on the eyes.

My Apologies
To the many (and I suppose, varied) readers of Hair by Sami, I am extending my apologies for keeping you all un- updated (if I’m even right to say that) on all the latest hair news across the… US. Family issues, some of my accounts were hacked into, and blah, blah, blah. I doubt you want to hear any of my sob stories! Alright, I’ve got a lot of new stuff in for you guys! Long hair, short hair, you name, I’ve got it! By the way, in the upcoming weeks I’ll be looking for new people to help break the latest hair news when I can’t… which, lately, is about 85% of the time! That means, for everyone that has read my blog and thought, “Wow! Even I can do a better job than she does!” you can go ahead and give it a try! I’ll give more information in the future, but for the time being, leave me a comment and let me know if you’re interested!
Fergie Goes Dark
I truly didn’t see it coming! Newlywed Fergie debuted long, dark locks today in New York City. I actually don’t mind the color on her, but I think her hair’s far too long and straight. With such a deep hue, Mrs. Josh Duhamel needed volume and swing to make the look more natural. Instead, she looks more like Morticia Adams. What do you think?
Extension Girl – Katie Holmes
Do you know what I absolutely hate? Women that cut their hair short, then wear extensions or wigs. One day we’re seeing these women walking around Manhattan or Los Angeles sporting a chin- length bob, and the next day they’re showing up at a Red Carpet Premiere with ultra- long hair. In this case, I’m talking about Katie Holmes. Katie made headlines last year when she first chopped off her long locks, and began sporting an ultra c0ol ‘mom’ do, that really worked for her. This hair cut, shown below, really put her on the style map.
Then, yesterday, purely out of the blue, Mrs. Cruise decided to show up to her husband’s premiere with super long extensions.
I mean, come on! We all know they’re not the least bit real, unless she’s suddenly got some bionic hair we haven’t heard about until this moment. To add insult to injury, she’s dressing like ‘Hannah Montana’ – not age appropriate, to say the least. Is Katie Holmes going through a mid- life crisis? Is the world coming to an end? When will this nightmare stop?!? Please, Katie, do us all a favor and remove your extensions. We loved your short ‘do, and hate to see you sporting fake hair. Take a cue from your supposed best friend, Victoria Beckham, and don’t be afraid to sport your short locks!
